Alex Luna, a.k.a. Tarrask
001001. about me
I'm Alex Luna, Brazilian, ad copywriter, social media manager, internet addict, advertiser, amateur photographer, guitarrist, wannabe writer, and I spend too much time online. This is the place where I gather all my digital stuff.
Tarrask is a nickname. It came from a monster from Dungeons & Dragons, but some people think it's my surname. That's how I decided to call my personal alias.
I live in Barcelona since January 09, when I came to study Digital Interactive Strategy at UAB. I love studying new uses from the net, how it affects our lives and understand the impact of tech in our way of living. I spend my time trying new software, gadgets, tricks, hacks, etc. I'm a digital communicator, or an analogic geek.
I've worked for 5 years as a ad copywriter, in Recife and later at ArnoldFuel Madrid, an agency of the Euro RSCG group. I still do some advertising work, sometimes freelance, but now I try to focus on digital ways.
I am a digital native, having been online since 1995. Computers and the internet are tools to connect people and ideas, and connecting digitally is what I most like to do. I've been writing online since 97, when I first started to write a serial novel in weekly chapters, in a roleplaying game mailing list. Teenage years. Later, I found blogs and advertising, which are now mixed together, but I still can remember the days where it wasn't normal for a copywriter to write online. i write regularly at .:the worst kind of thief:., where I put most of my online findings and ramblings about my digital life, El mensaje es el Medio, where I keep some texts in Spanish, at the blog of Justinmind.com, where I write tutorials in English about wireframing and prototyping, and you may find more texts somewhere else. I wrote a few posts for Goitaca, a tourism site in Brazil, and still will write more there. Just need some more time.
I love playing with words, concepts and meanings. I write in Portuguese, Spanish and English. A few years ago, I gathered some short stories and published a book, Elas e outras histórias, which is now being revised for a second edition.
