I'm Alex Luna, and these are some interesting things I've done. I worked as a ad copywriter for several years, in Brazil and in Madrid. Besides, I've been blogging, taking pictures and writing other things, mostly online.

I've been online since the old mIRC days, probably 96, but didn't like programming so I went to study advertising. Now the interwebs and my passion for writing are joined together again. It's mashup time.

My ideal place to work is a comfy chair (without the Spanish Inquisition), a nice screen and a nice broadband connection. It can be anywhere in the world (sort of), and I can relocate easily (kind of) within a reasonable time.

now
I am currently looking for a new job. I've worked as copywriter for some years, freelance translator and also interactive manager in a software startup.

I just finished my postgraduation in Interactive Creativity and Strategy at UAB - Barcelona, and worked for 6 months at Justinmind, creating their online social and communications structure.

Besides that, I've got a Master Degree in Advertising from Universidad Antonio de Nebrija in Madrid in 2006, a course that was sponsored by Tapsa, one of the main agencies in Spain, and graduated in Social Communication in 2004.

In English
Most of the text in this portfolio is in English, but the works are in both Portuguese and Spanish. I am fluent in those three languages and worked translating from English to Portuguese, from Spanish to European Portuguese, from Spanish to English and so on.

I think it's more important to create new content to put in my portfolio than spend my time translating, since most of my potential bosses do speak English.

Some of the content is in Portuguese (the work I've done in Brazil) and other is in Spanish (the work I've done while living in Spain). If you are interested but have any problem understanding, just mail me. I can explain.

I've worked as copywriter for several agencies in Pernambuco, Brazil; then came to Spain, and worked for two more years at ArnoldFuel Spain (an agency from Euro RSCG group, that was merged, re-merged, separated and so on), and since 2008 worked freelance for online projects. Also, I spent 6 months at Justinmind, a very interesting experience of working outside a communication agency.

Blogs, digital experience
I blog about advertising, internet and other things on .:the worst kind of thief:., in Portuguese, and started a new blog with content in Spanish called El mensaje es el medio, where I'll publish content related to digital communication and translate some of my best texts.

Also, I have a more personal blog, where I dump things I write to myself. No links allowed. :)

Recently I launched a community-based blog called ffffuuuudeu, where people share funny pics. I explain better the case here.

Me llamo Alex Luna y aquí guardo algunas de las cosas interesantes que he hecho, sea trabajando o por diversión. He sido copywriter por algunos años, en Brasil y en Madrid. A parte de eso, vengo escribiendo en blogs, sacando fotos y escribiendo aún más cosas, casi todo online.

Estoy online desde los viejos tiempos de mIRC, creo que 96, pero nunca me ha gustado programar, así que acabé estudiando publicidad. Ahora es posible trabajar en una agencia de publicidad y ser adicto a Internet, cosa que antes era raro.

El sítio ideal de trabajo para mí es una silla confortable, una pantalla buena y conexión a la red. Puede ser en Barcelona, dónde estoy ahora, en otra ciudad, o incluso a través de la red. Me encantan los proyectos a distancia.

Ahora
Ahora estoy buscando trabajos, por contrato o freelance. He trabajado varios años en agencias como copywriter, y también he hecho freelance de copywriter, traductor (Inglés-Portugués-Español) y a veces alguna cosa de wordpress, html o maquetación de libros. Mi último trabajo ha sido de Social Media Manager, así que tengo un perfil bien complejo.

Acabo de encerrar un trabajo de crear la estructura de comunicación social online de una startup de tecnología de Barcelona, mientras cursaba un posgrado en Estrategia Creativa Interactiva en la UAB, aquí en Barcelona.

A parte de eso, he cursado el Master en Publicidad de la Universidad Antonio de Nebrija en Madrid en el 2006, que era apadrinado por Tapsa, y me he licenciado en Comunicación Social en UFPE, Brasil, en el 2004.

Mi trabajo en Justinmind.com era organizar y administrar la presencia online de la marca, escribir (en inglés) material acerca del mundo de la creación de wireframes de software y webs, y también controlar visitas/adsense/analytics. Puede encontrar más información sobre eso aquí.

Otros idiomas
Muchos textos de ese portfolio o de mi blog están escritos en tres idiomas, pero algunos no están traducidos. Algunas campañas que he hecho en España son demasiado grandes para traducir al detalle, o materiales que pierden el significado al traducirse. Ese es el problema del copy.

Además, tengo un blog más personal, que no debería entrar aquí en en portfolio.

Recientemente, he creado un blog comunidad llamado ffffuuuudeu, dónde la gente comparte las típicas imágenes graciosas, memes y chorradas que recibe todos los dias. El caso está mejor explicado aquí.
